METTE VALENTIN WINS CORPORATE ATTORNEY PRIZE 2016

Senior Vice President Legal & Public Affairs Mette Valentin awarded the Corporate Attorney Prize 2016, an initiative focusing on the valuable work undertaken by lawyers working in private Danish enterprises.

Initiated by the association of Danish Corporate Attorneys' (DVJ) and Danish law firm Kromann Reumert, the prize honours corporate attorneys values in the Danish industry.

Anders Lavesen, partner and chairman of Kromann Reumert and member of the award committee, says:

“Mette is characterized by being good at narrowing the issues, so the risks, opportunities and solutions are clear. Together with her team, Mette has been responsible for preparing an IPO of Scandinavian Tobacco Group and not least the work of creating the cultural understanding of the difference between being privately owned and a listed company.”

Delighted to receive the award, Mette Valentin says:

“To get a prize is something special, so I am very happy. I attach great importance to the quality of the work that my department and I perform in the legal field. Things have to be in order, and at the same time we have fun.”

Mette Valentin has decided to donate her prize money totalling DKK 75,000 to the Danish Refugee Council. To date, three accolades have been awarded previously to the world’s fourth largest private employer ISS and to global biotechnology giant Novozymes.
